No Hootie & the Blowfish Concert Review!

Manitowoc County Welcomes the PGA
Yes, I realize that the PGA Championships are happening at Whistling Straits in Haven, Wisconsin, just a half hour south of my city, Manitowoc. And yes, I realize that Hootie & the Blowfish are huge golf fans. And yes, I realize that the Manitowoc/Two Rivers Chamber of Commerce organized a concert by Hootie & the Blowfish for tonight—probably one of the biggest music events in Manitowoc ever.

However, Music Spectrum will not be reviewing tonight’s concert. Although I attempted to get a press pass, the organizers told me that Hootie did not provide any media passes. I really am not a big fan of Hootie & the Blowfish, and I did not feel like paying for a ticket in order to review their concert. There have been so many supportive artists and record labels as Music Spectrum has grown, but Hootie & the Blowfish are not part of that support.

Besides, if you like “I Go Blind,” find the original by 54-40—a song full of irony.
